Oracle Ireland and Aramark Volunteers Join Forces for AwareBusiness in the Community Ireland

On 24th & 25th March Oracle and Aramark volunteers helped Aware to complete the latest training for their Facilitators in 2018. These Aware volunteers will now go out to facilitate support groups across the country. They will provide assistance to thousands of people with mental health challenges every week.

Oracle provides the use of its offices and a team of volunteers to help out several weekends a year and an Aramark chef also volunteers time to cater for the trainees. The Aware team was hugely appreciative of the support – our office facilities and hosting contribute significantly to their ability to provide a more professional training course, and this in turn helps with volunteer retention.

Rosemary Carvill, the National Support Group Co-Ordinator, said, “The trainees were so grateful for the welcome given by each member of your team of Oracle volunteers.  Between you, you have made an invaluable contribution to the Aware training and our thanks again to Norbert for being such a wonderful chef. You make our training a pleasure.”

In Onesies for Temple Street

Oracle has raised thousands of euros for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital over the last several years. On Friday 9th of March, Oracle employees walked from East Point Business Park to Howth in their ONESIES! An amazing €45,000+ was raised in total!

Oracle volunteers visited St. Michaels House to brighten up their day care centre.

For 57 years, St. Michael’s House has been a leader in the development and provision of community-based services for people with an intellectual disability in Ireland. St. Michael’s house is also home to Templeogue’s Foróige youth club. Foróige is the leading youth organisation in Ireland and has been working with young people since 1952. Their purpose is to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their development and in the development of society.

 ‘Seeing Is Believing’

Oracle hosted a STEM ‘Seeing Is Believing’ event to help raise awareness of STEM careers at post-primary level. The goal of this initiative is to give STEM teachers and guidance counsellors a deep and engaging insight into leading a STEM company and the innovative and diverse range of opportunities and careers that exist within Oracle.
