On the second day of the series, we explored the ‘Revolution in Action’. We were joined by Cathriona Fitzsimons, Group Head of Corporate Responsibility, PM Group and Sinéad Smith, Head of Responsible Business Dublin, A&L Goodbody.
We examined areas such as the changing landscape of sustainability, and how business can adapt, evolve and change to integrate sustainability into the core of their business strategy. We also discussed the importance of collaboration and transparency, as well as the need to constantly ask what we are doing right and how we can improve.
BITCI’s Sustainability Strategy & Human Rights specialist, Darina Eades was joined by Ben Ngobi, Global Procurement Sustainability Lead with Accenture, to discuss the topic of modern slavery mitigation and how this can be integrated into business strategy via policies, practices and continuous improvement measures. Finally, BITCI’s Sustainability Strategy expert, Johnny Meehan, concluded by discussing what more needs to be done, how to focus on what matters, and how to take action using the right tools and available supports.
