Coillte are the largest supplier of certified wood in Ireland, which enables a vibrant Irish forestry sector employing 12,000 people and contributing €2.3 billion annually.

Coillte are the largest provider of outdoor recreation in Ireland; managing 6,000 forest properties.  We have an open forest policy welcoming all walkers according to the Leave No Trace Principles.  Coillte also operate 12 forest parks, 260 recreational forests and 3,000km of waymarked walking trails.

We enable government policy to be implemented in key areas such as renewables, infrastructure, industrial development, native woodland creation and tourism.

Our Medite Smartply business is Ireland’s leading producer of innovative, environmentally friendly wood panel products and exports to 32 countries worldwide.
