Dublin Bus is the largest public transport provider for the city of Dublin and its surrounding areas, carrying 122 million passengers in 2015 across 110 routes. We employ almost 3,400 people with 15% of our employees originally from outside Ireland representing 68 different countries of origin. We have a fleet of 945 buses all of which are low floor wheelchair accessible and have free Wi-Fi. There are up to 12 CCTV cameras on each of our buses which has increased the safety for our drivers, passengers and other road users. There are over 500 electronic displays across the city displaying real time information and every bus journey can be tracked in real time on dublinbus.ie and by using our free app. We provide a free ‘Travel Assistance Scheme’ that our customers, especially those with disabilities and reduced mobility, can avail of. The Community Spirit Initiative reflects our commitment to play an active role and give back to the communities in which we operate.
