Primark is a retail group in the value sector and operates a total of 232 stores in Ireland (where it trades under the Penneys brand), the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and the UK.

In June 1969, the first Penneys store opened in Mary Street, Dublin and now has 38 stores in the Republic of Ireland.
