Last month, KPMG hosted an internal celebration and awareness campaign, KPMG Multicultural Week. Multicultural Week is about celebrating the diversity of KPMG’s people who come from over 50 different countries around the world. In 2021 alone KPMG hired 302 people from 31 different countries outside Ireland and the UK. This celebration shone a light on all the cultures and countries that KPMG people are from that come together to form a working community.
The focal points of the week included an ‘Around the World’ party where employees gathered in their hundreds to embrace food, beverages and music from around the globe and a guest speaker session with Irish rugby hero, Bundee Aki who spoke about his journey of embracing Irish culture, being welcomed by the Galway community and the privilege of wearing the green jersey. A variety of content was shared with everyone in KPMG Ireland throughout the week, including a video series featuring KPMG Ireland people from different countries who told their stories of moving to Ireland, there were daily newsletters which featured fun facts on different countries and the Staff Restaurants served up a dish of the day with delicacies from different continents on offer.
KPMG believe in diverse teams for a diverse world and want to attract talented people from all over the globe. There was a fantastic buzz and sense of connection throughout the week.
