Deborah Threadgold

Deborah Threadgold is General Manager, IBM Ireland, a position taken after 25 years within the IBM Corporation serving in a variety of roles at UK and Ireland and EMEA levels. A dynamic leader with a passion for inclusion and diversity, Threadgold is responsible for business operations, driving revenue growth, client satisfaction, and employee engagement in Ireland. Threadgold is based in Dublin.

Threadgold joined IBM Ireland in 1996, holding several key roles, including becoming the first Chief Digital Officer for IBM UK and Ireland, a role she held between 2017 and 2020. In this role, she led digital transformation within IBM UK and Ireland as well as IBM’s Digital Business Group. Most recently, she served IBM at an EMEA level as Vice President, System Integrators and Nextgen Ecosystem, driving cross-portfolio revenues through an ecosystem of next-generation partners, Global and Regional System Integrators, with whom she worked to establish IBM’s Hybrid cloud as platform of choice.

Threadgold holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University with a distinction in Business Strategy and Finance. She also gained degrees from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and the Pensions Management Institute (APMI).
