Ulster Bank’s One Week in June Raises over €400K to Help the Fight Against Cancer

Ulster Bank’s One Week in June charity fundraising campaign took place between 20th and 24th June. One Week in June is an integral part of Ulster Bank’s community engagement programme and is a week dedicated to supporting charity fundraising with staff, customers, local businesses and communities all working together.

Susan Strong and Helen Smith from Ulster Bank pictured in Phoenix Park, Dublin taking part in the Irish Cancer Societys Colour Dash sponsored by Aldi and supported by Spin 1038. 4,500 took part in the annual 5k event which sees participants covered in coloured paint representing different types of cancer and cancer survivorship as they run the course. Money raised from Colour Dash will go towards the Irish Cancer Societys work to help people reduce their risk of getting cancer, to support those living with cancer and to fund on-going cancer research. This year €421, 413 was raised for 49 cancer charities across the island of Ireland. Staff organised a wide range of ingenious and fun activities including bake sales, static cycle challenges, sponsored walks, dress down days and car washes.
